OpenAI has launched Sora, its text-to-video generation model, now accessible at sora.com. According to OpenAI Blog, users can generate videos up to 1080p resolution, lasting up to 20 seconds, and in multiple aspect ratios including widescreen, vertical, and square. The tool also allows users to bring their own assets for extension, remixing, or blending, as well as generate entirely new content from text prompts. Sora enters a competitive space alongside other AI video generators like Runway and Pika, but its integration with OpenAI's ecosystem may offer advantages for developers already using tools like ChatGPT.
